I'm a nonprofit fundraiser with a nonprofit that serves survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking with free legal aid. I am based in Monrovia, California, with one week every other month in Tijuana, Mexico.

My writing focuses mainly on nonprofits and fundraising, and the myriad of issues that affect or influence both. I also write about getting older, living in LGBTQ+ communities, and, once in a while, travel.

My experience includes time in the US Navy, hotel catering and sales management, and 15+ years leading nonprofit fundraising teams on the professional side, as well as my marriage to a man, working in human rights and animal rights, and my efforts to stay healthy based on my personal life experiences.

I am sober, share my life with our two companion dogs, Ludwig and Nadia, am vegan, and love road trips with my husband.
