If you are in the world of nonprofit fundraising, you are very busy right now. And you will be busier each day we get closer to the end of the year.

For many nonprofits, there is a lot on the line.

The vast majority of nonprofits raise their most individual/private fundraising in December.

If you have already planned out your year-end giving and the ball is rolling, that’s wonderful.

If not, don’t be discouraged.

And… begin right now!

Even if it’s with a quickly written out plan of what actions you will take and when. It can be that simple.

If you plan on doing a direct mail appeal, get started as soon as possible. While writing the content, reach out to your printer and reserve time for a mailing. Forgetting to do this could delay the mailing as printers may not have the immediate capacity to do your job.

Meet with your team to decide who can take on what. Communication is key here, along with sticking to decided deadlines.

Being that it’s mid-November, there is no time to waste.
