I’m in my third month of writing on Medium. Just in case this is your first article of mine you’re reading, I’ll say again that I started writing on Medium to share experiences in nonprofit fundraising to help those in the nonprofit world, and to share about my nonprofit fundriasing consultancy, Altrui Consulting.

Amazing things have happened since I began writing here, and they don’t have anything to do with money.

I’ve found writers that I would have been introduced to, writers whose article have impacted me. I follow hundreds of them, and read their articles daily. I save their articles so I can keep reading, keep learning. Their articles match my “always learning” attitude.

Last month, I made $1.19, which is a bonus to being in this new world (for me). The real value in the $1.19 is that people read what I wrote and got a peek into my world of nonprofit fundraising.

They may have finished my article and decided to volunteer as a board member for a nonprofit, to make a donation to their favorite nonprofit, to consider creating their own small business, or to strengthen their LinkedIn profile.
