We had wanted solar panels for years.

Finally last summer we decided to start meeting with companies.

We chose one and the entire process from signing the contract to the panels being installed is the stuff of a … well, I’m not sure what.

The main thing that we learned is that there is a lot of money to be made in the solar panel business. We learned that even though we signed with one company, most people who did the work were contractors, or companies the main company worked with.

It was impossible to connect with someone at the company with whom we had signed a contract. The only way we got connected with them was when I posted a poor Yelp review. Then they wanted to speak with us.

They seemed horrified. By how their own people and contractors treated us and our property.

And as we moved on from that we realized that this solar panel thing is not for everyone. First, you need a lot of money. It’s not…
