My (literal) two cents ($.02) worth on Medium!

I’m ecstatic!

Two months ago one of my closest friends suggested I write on Medium. I had never heard of it. I became a member and after a week or so decided to start sharing articles (?) about me and the nonprofit fundraising world I call home.

A few weeks later (this week!) I decided to apply for the partner program and am now with many of you in that.

Yesterday I made my first two cents on Medium! I’m super ecstatic that people, or in this case one person, spent time reading my most recent article.

For those of you just getting to know me, I joined Medium so I could share my thoughts and ideas on nonprofit fundraising with more people, not looking at it as a revenue source. I firmly believe that nonprofit fundraising is not about money, rather it’s about relationships.

One of my mantras is “Your favorite nonprofit still needs you”.

I just had to share that I’ve made my first two cents here, and I’m delighted to be here. I hope my writing is of interest to others, and hopefully those in nonprofit fundraising can learn or be reminded of something.
