I am not a data expert.

My experience comes from being in a nonprofit major gifts role (currently), working with several nonprofit clients, and leading four fundraising teams over the past 15 years.

Good data is key to a strong, healthy fundraising team. This starts with a system (CRM: Customer Management System) that makes entering, maintaining, and accessing data as simple as possible within the capacity of your fundraising team.

By the way, if you didn’t know what CRM stands for, no worries at all! And I get it; for us it should be DMS (D for donor!).

Although I am not an expert in data or CRMs, I do have quite a bit of experience with working in CRMs and using them to advance my relationship building and fundraising goals.

NOTE: If you are looking for a data expert to hire for any nonprofit data needs, I can make an introduction!

I decided to share multiple CRM platforms, not just the ones I have experience with. All of the ones I am sharing I either have direct experience with, have clients that use them, or know colleagues who use (and love) them.
