It’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

I saw this statistic on LinkedIn. Being fortunate to work with an amazing domestic violence legal aid organization (Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice), I see awful statistics frequently.

Domestic violence is embedded in our society. In most societies.

One in three women and one in four men have experienced some form of physcial violence by an intimate partner. (National Coalition Against Domestic Violence)

There are organizations in almost every city and town that can support survivors of domestic violence/ domestic abuse.

That doesn’t necessarily make a difference for someone experiencing violence in this moment.
